SMOKING / VAPING CESSATION

Definition: The action or habit of inhaling and exhaling the smoke of tobacco or a drug

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy for smoking is the gold standard as its success rate is higher than any other intervention.

 

We know smoking is a habit which many people perceive as being difficult to give up. On the one hand logically, we know smoking has negative outcomes for our health and on the other we feel compelled to smoke. It is almost as though we have two brains, one pro smoking and one anti-smoking. 

 

During the process of a hypnosis treatment for smoking we can start to 'program' the mind to create a very strong aversion to smoking. So that the anti smoking brain takes charge and effectively starts to diminish the voice of the pro smoking brain. However, this still will require some will power from your side, so, it is important that you feel ready to give up. 

For people who are stressed or anxious from other factors It is my suggestion that we do a few regular sessions prior to you giving up, so that we can ensure you are relaxed and genuinely in the best possible frame of mind to quit. 

This is one session 1.5-2 hours duration. 

You will be asked to bring your smoking/vaping kit to the session in preparation to put it into the bin after we have completed it.
